Second Graders Create Rosaries

October is the month of the Rosary and to celebrate, second graders at St. Bede learned about the Blessed Mother and the Rosary in their Religion classes. The students learned and discussed how the Rosary takes us through the life of Jesus and that the Blessed Mother prays to Jesus for us. The students also discussed how, as Catholics, we do not worship Mary, but we ask her help to teach us more about Jesus and to get closer to him through praying the Rosary. The students each made Rosaries from a collection of beads and string. The following day, they prayed the Glorious Mysteries together.
