Montgomery Catholic Students Win State Championship with the Capital City Streaks Soccer Program
The Capital City Streaks U-15 girls team won the State Championship in Decatur, Alabama over the Veterans' Day weekend. Three team members are students at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School; they are Samai Martinez, 8th grade, Caitlin Sears and Shannon Guin, both 9th grade. The Streaks defeated United Soccer Club of Huntsville 1-0 to claim the state title and sailed through the state tournament with a 4-0 record. The Capital City Streaks 93 team will advance to the regional tournament in North Carolina in June. All three students played at the Varsity level at Montgomery Catholic last year and are looking forward to the season this spring. Pictured: The Capital City Streaks 93 State Champions.
