Celebrating over 40 years together as friends and rivals.

For over 40 years, high school students at Montgomery Catholic and St. Jude have celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit together on the day of their football game.  Each year, the host team also hosts the Mass. This year MCPS and St. Jude were thankful that Archbishop Rodi celebrated Mass with them on August 31 at Montgomery Catholic. Mass was followed with cupcakes and socializing in the courtyard, and a joint  Pep Rally in the gym. Both schools cheered for their teams, preparing for the long standing first football game of the season – “The Archbishop’s Bowl”. Archbishop Rodi granted both sides a special break before heading back to class.  The day ended with a Montgomery Catholic Knight victory over the St. Jude Pirates.
