Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School names Julie Wood as the Assistant Principal for the Middle School Campus. “I am thrilled to select Julie to lead our school as the assistant principal for grades seven and eight. Her gifts and talents are a great fit for the pastoral needs of our middle school students,” said Chad Barwick, principal for grades 7-12 at Montgomery Catholic.
“Julie is highly organized, mission driven, and passionate about Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School. I look forward to working with her as we continue to serve our community in forming students of faith, virtue, and wisdom,” Barwick said.
A native of Mobile, Wood is a product of the archdiocesan Catholic school system and attended Catholic school from first through 12th grade. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Huntingdon College and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from Auburn Montgomery. Wood and her husband, Patrick, have been married for 23 years. They have two children Stuart, a 2010 graduate, and Kirstin, a junior at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School. They are active members of St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in Montgomery.
“It is an honor to be selected to serve as the assistant principal. I look forward to working with Mr. Barwick and being a part of the growth and development of our students in a new way,” said Julie Wood. “Through my faith, I hope to touch the lives of our students and help them in strengthening their faith.”
Wood begins her role as assistant principal on August 1.
