Montgomery Catholic Students Participate in Honor Band Festival at Troy University

Seven Middle School Band members from Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School travelled to Troy, AL to take part in Troy University’s Southeastern United States Middle School Honor Bands. These seven students completed an application process and were selected from a large body of applicants from Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. After being accepted, these young musicians auditioned for a spot in one of the event’s three performing ensembles: the Silver Band, the Cardinal Band, and the Gold Band. Brian Brunson was selected for the Silver Band, while Jennifer Doan, Jonathan Miller, and Beth Vaughan were selected for the Cardinal Band. Ashley Kim, Mandy Jones, and Katie McDaniel all received exceptionally high audition scores and were accepted to the festival’s top ensemble, the Gold Band. Congratulations to all of these students on this prestigious achievement!
