Several Montgomery Catholic Middle School Band members placed in the top band and/or received "first chair" honors at the Southeastern United States Middle School Honor Band held on the campus of Troy University. Eight students were placed in three bands based upon competitive audition, with the top-scoring students receiving spots in the Gold band.Here are the results of the audition:

Joe Hernandez - Trumpet
Alex Taylor - Clarinet
Alex Nola - Trumpet
Crimson Band: Directed by Mr. Michael Thomas
Josh Stark - 1st Chair Alto Saxophone
Dom Godwin - Alto Saxophone
These students rehearsed with their respective bands all day and into the night Friday, and presented a concert in the Trojan Arena at Troy University on Saturday, December 2 at 11:00 a.m.
