Wrestling Team Celebrates First Season, Stone named team MVP

Montgomery Catholic's first varsity wrestling team celebrated the end of their inaugural season with a dinner hosted in the home of Julian and Leslie McPhillips. Coached by Tyler Countryman, the team made school history as the first members of the wrestling program with one wrestler, Preston Stone, participating in the AHSAA state tournament.

Varsity letters, team awards, and the most valuable player were named at the dinner. The first Montgomery Catholic Wrestling Team members are Austin Barranco, Stephen Bodet, Peter Carl, Jimmy Dugan, Corey Cotter, Asa Keating, David McPhillips, Matt Simmons, Preston Stone, Wellington Westendorf, Chris Wilson, and Connor Wright.
